Bicentennial celebration takes center stage

Perhaps the largest community celebration in Miamisburg history is about to commence.  Buckle your seatbelt!

Activities are taking place throughout 2018 to commemorate the City’s 200th birthday, but the featured week of celebration is coming up June 16-23.  That’s when a full schedule of events will be held each day and evening at Riverfront Park and other select locations.

“It has been a special year already with some memorable events, but the momentum is really building toward June 16-23,” Bicentennial Co-Chair Kurt Stueve said.  “There are some unique and significant things planned that the community is going to enjoy.”

Most prominent on the Riverfront Park schedule will be daily Center Stage Entertainment featuring some of the most well-known local and regional musical performers.  The schedule will be highlighted by a concert by national recording artist Ricky Skaggs on June 20 at 8 p.m.  This special event is presented as a gift to the community by Kettering Health Network/Sycamore Medical Center in observance of Sycamore’s 40th anniversary and the Bicentennial year.
