2018 Schedule of Events

The following is a current schedule for the featured week of celebration.  All activities take place in Riverfront Park, unless otherwise noted.  Check back for updates, and please direct questions to miamisburg200@cityofmiamisburg.org.

While plans are still coming together, several events have been confirmed during the central celebration slated for the week of June 16-23, 2018. An opening parade is set for Saturday, June 16, which coincides with Miamisburg High School alumni weekend. The Bicentennial committee and alumni association are working together to create joint events and encourage out-of-town alumni to plan a summer vacation celebrating City and school. Also being featured opening weekend will be “Drums on the Miami,” an event to celebrate the Native American history of Miamisburg before it became Miamisburg. The week will culminate with a grand performance by the Dayton Philharmonic and fireworks display over the Great Miami River. The 40-piece philharmonic concert band will be directed by Miamisburg resident Patrick Reynolds and will feature the talent of members of the Dayton Philharmonic Orchestra.
